Merchant Enrichment

MCC filter — narrow candidates by OSM amenity/shop tag mapped to the incoming MCC (e.g. MCC 5812 → amenity=restaurant, amenity=cafe, amenity=fast_food).

Name match — fuzzy string match between raw VisaNet DBA name and OSM name / operator fields to rank candidates and assign a confidence score.

BIN/CAID signal — where a CAID is stable across multiple transactions at the same coordinates, the top-scored POI can be pinned and used as a labeled training example for the downstream ML model.

Enriched output — canonical merchant name, OSM-sourced category, address, website, and brand fields pushed back into the Merchant Data Platform as an enrichment signal.
